SPD’s or Egg Beaters

Earn your keep, which should I get for the skinny bike.

I have always used SPD’s but I have heard the other system is really good. I am sceptical though, they look a bit odd?

spd's al the way!! been using the shimano dx pedals for a gud while, havent had 1 single problem with them.

I've tried both. SPDs are bomb proof but egg beaters have loads more float. If you have dodgy knees its a no brainer - egg beaters all the way...

Egg beaters work better in mud. They fall apart much more than Shimano, but the warranty is decent, and they replace them reasonably fast. Take your pick.

Eggbeaters - if you are going for a 'skinny bike' special, why go for anything else :)

I've been using them for years. Don't get the cheaper 'C' version (the wings are made of cheese) and check for play every now and then and replace the bearings if things get sticky. (rebuild kit is around €15)

I really like them - and they don't even get clogged with snow :)

Ebay's good for them, I picked up new mallets for near half price.
