Bash rings??

Does anyone have or know where to get a bash ring for a shockwave xt950??

halfords sell the bike , they might have a spare lying around , worth giving them a shout first

nope becuase the chainset on it won't be compatible with aftermarket ones. What you have there is not a bash ring its more like a guard to stop u getting oil on your jeans while riding to the shops.

well it kinda does because theres no cross compatibility with the parts for what you have and what you want. To fit a bashguard you need to have a chainset that has independantly replaceable chainrings. You need to remove your big ring and replace with a bashring. What you have shown in the picture is a chainguard, which is mounted to the outside of the big ring using about 5 or six self tapping screws. This indicates a very basic chainset which has all the rings rivted together and therefore you can't fit a bashring. You can however get a new chainguard to stop your clothes getting destroyed.

ah i really need to get a new one the p.o.s i have weighs a tonne,breaks squeek and the chain is messed up, i should have looked into it before i got the bike.
