What size DH

Hi all - Looking at buying a Kona Stinky to try my hand at a bit of downhill. I currently have a 17" Specialized Rockhopper - I'm 5 foot 9 and bit ish. I know you go smaller for a downhiller but how small? Cheers

first of all don't buy a feckin Stinky !! get a Morewood or a patriot or something sensible , theres a Cove for sale in somewhere in here. And people are different i'd say you'd do on a medium, it all depends on the bike.
whats the deal with people and Konas, hands up who hasn't broken a Stinky or a Coiler ? and they plain suck to bits anyways..

Is the Cove still around - had a search and can't find it. Are the Kona's that bad? Only looking at it because I got offered it very cheap.

Have to agree with the raving presidentetetete... there are much better alternatives to Kona's out there..

i'd stick with a medium frame for youre height.

A friend of mine had a stinky and it wasn't bad but he did break it a few times. It could be worth it depending how cheap it is. Usually they are over priced new and 2nd hand

have had both and broken neither, quite heavy but if u can get it at a good price certainly not a bad bike.

have a medium which u r more than welcome to have a spin round on 2 see how it feels for size - based in dublin

most of you haven't a clue anyways, riding your bikes once or twice a week, what the fcuk do any of you know about anything thats worth knowing about mountainbiking. You might think you do becuase you read somewhere that your bike was deadly because there were blue bits on it.
Whereas I ride my bike everyday, except Mondays, it being the Devils Sabbath and all..
but seriously , you can ride a bike twice a week, how the fcuk is that going to tell you if its any use,
feckin lightweights !!
