jesus frickin christ, i've been trying to upload the videos from yesterday..i recorded it on Stewarts Video camera and the files are .mod on the camera , i'm using Adbe Elelemnts to edit it but it just won't upload in either Vimeo or youtube..
frustrated in Dun laoghaire !! for the love of jesus I reckon I have to convert sometthing to something but I'm good with using my brain for some things and I'm starting to fray at the edges..help
heehhee I should have checked that link. well now that I have time try renaming the file to .mpg from .mod and you should be able to import it.
If Youâre in windows you can rename a file with these steps:
1. Open the explorer window where your files exist
2. Select the Tools >> Folder Options menu item
3. Click the View Tab
4. Uncheck the option to âHide extensions for known file typesâ
5. Click âapply to All Folders if you always want to see the file extensions for every file no matter what folder you are in
6. Click ok to accept all changes and close the dialog window
7. You should now see all the file extensions of the files in the current folder
8. Right click on a filename you wish to change and select Rename
9. Rename the file extension to anything youâd like.
Once youâve done this, you can just right click a file and rename it in seconds. No software required!

before I got that info for you I googled my problem, found a forum with geeks brimming with issues, sorted through the gibberish, went in to my Adobe elements and just changed the .mod file extension to .avi and now we're rocking..
the days of the geeks and nerds are at an end, we cavemen can do it..just bate the computer till it gives up its secrets !!
