Fox 36 Talas and hope M4s

Anyone out there have any idea of how to mount my hope m4's onto a new talas 36(post mount)

spoke to the folk at chainreaction who consulted there books adn sold me an adaptor, which i cant get to work... review on crc say works perfectly with 203 rotor on a talas frok

contacted hope on friday, who finally got back to me saying i needed to run a 223 size rotor...

Any idea's out there. im riding a borrowed front brake to keep me mobile at the moment but i need to sort this out asap

sounds like you got the wrong adapter, you could get the right one or change the size of the disc to 223, whichever is easier, hope this helps, now for some sensible advice..............

problem is there doesnt appear to be another adaptor hence the question on here.

Fitting an IS caliper to a post-mount fork with an adaptor will always require a 20mm larger disc.

Assuming your IS M4's are 203mm, then in looks like the giant disc is your only option. Never seen one in that size - but Hope would sort you out.

it would also be very cool to have a disc that big, for me at least

Connor just to completely derail this fabulous thread here, myself grant and wee cain are going to do a quick spin up in the leadmines tomorrow evening if your interested, meeting at palmers hopefully around 5.30ish!

what size disk and what number caliper do you have for ur m4 its usually stamped on it?

the disk is 200

There is a number 8 on the leg of the caliper (ie where it mounts)

this help at all -ill jsut drop by tomorrow after my ride to see if your about?

you'll need a bigger disk or a new caliper. The 8 is for 200 front with an is fork. The post mount to is adapter will add 20mm but running a bigger disk will void your fork warranty so id recommend getting a new caliper

Do you have an old two half, bolt together silver M4 or a newer one piece black+gold Mono M4?

If it is the very old two half, I could swap a No. 3 half for your No. 8 half ...
