Dh tyres on xc bike ?

I need to put some tyres on the enduro. I have a pair of 2.3 dh tyres I could put on. would they be way to heavy? Would the extra grip and bombproofness make up for the extra rolling weight?

Or would I just die at the sight at any climb?

you have all day to get to the top..the heavier and wider the tyre the better the descent..fcuk it, sit back ,relax and grind your way to the top..it'll always be worth it..

Seeing as you already have the tyres, why not put them on and find out?

I have 2.5 sticky high rollers on my spicy and the little extra weight and drag is more than made up for when you point the bike downhill. Stick em on.

I used to have minions on my old kona hard tail... They added 8lbs to the weight of my bike, but they were very sticky.

Hey Shane, put them on. i only use tubless down hill tyres on me bouncey bike or 2ply
so you dont have to worrie about flats, slower up hill but thats allways been the gay side of mtb.

yeah i had nobby nics on my reign. really light and rolled well but the minute you hit rocks they bounced all over the place and pinch flat like mad.i put on 2.35 dh high rollers and no more punctures. super tackys bit of a drag on climbs but well worth it. i put a maxpro on the back and it helped on the uphills.

I Smashed me wheel rim today and how there is still air in the tyre is a mistery
i will have to take a vicegrips to it and pull out the rim, god bless tubless maxiss
