Is it the entire lever assembly (master cylinder) that's broken or just the brake lever..?
Any juicy master cylinder will work with any juicy caliper (slave cylinder)..
If its just the lever.. then all you need is a lever.. they are all pretty much the same..
The juicy master and slave cylinders are more or less identical with some minor differences.. but they are all inter-changeable and compatible with each other..
Its the whole lot, snapped at the bracket, brake is still working fine but theres no way its going to re-attach to the bar unless its welded, so basically its finished.
Jucy 4 seems to be for specialized only but it looks just like a 3 so will try to get one of those or a 5.
Ah crap! had just put in the order with crc lastnight.
Might contact him to see what parts he has anyway as I'm bound to smash something else on those brakes.
Brakes arrived today, decided I would try and put them on, halfway through the job and I realise the poxy hose is too short, so off to the bike shop with it tomorrow so they can swap the master cylinder assembly.
Just in case anyone is wondering, Juicy 3's are exactly the same as 4's both lever and caliper from what I can see, the only difference is that plastic reach adjustment on the 4's.
Could someone please advise me on a decent set of disc brakes that arent to expensive, feel i'm ready for an upgrade from the set i have.
Also do i need to change my hubs to fit discs? if so what are a decent set to upgrade with?
