Crossmax sl freehub question

hello..i have a Crossmax sl rear wheel but the freehub stopped engaging and spinned and kept spinning..I took it apart and cleaned it and now its working perfectly..even as noisily as it was when new. The little doohickeys in side were very clogged with grease..i cleaned them till they were spotless and as I say the whole thing is working great.
The only thing is, on the inside of the freehub theres all these little grooves for the doohickey to engage, they don't looked hacked or worn they just seem very smooth..
i'm just concious that I may have wasted my time and more importantly can't trust the fecker from letting me down again..

it sounds like ur ok but they are prone to wearing out and are replaceable cheaply enough about 35-40 euro and as you've already discovered not that hard to replace.

Hey has anyone opened up a pro2 rear hub... deadly new design, no losing bits all over the kip any more.... I likes it, had to get that off my chest....

Sorry I can't help you there Mr Byrner.. I've never had to deal with those cheapo Mavic factory mass produced, run of the mill, two a penny, common as muck, over priced, over hyped, made of cheese strings wheels...

You should have a look inside an Industry Nine freehub.. they can be dismantled, serviced, cleaned and put back together in minutes.. no loose parts (nothing to loose).. everything made of metal (no plastic bushes and the likes).. and (according to the I9 site) they have never had a freehub failure yet..

I've owned mine for 2 years now and have never, ever, ever, ever had a single problem with them.. whether its getting spare parts, replacement spokes, replacement rims, building them up, trueing them, converting axles to suit almost any frame on the market..... they are the absolute best wheels money can buy... period..

well in fairness to the cheapo run of the mill wheels ..these are 4 years old..been through hell on earth for wheels..this is the first time i've cleaned them..I bet if i had a pair of fancy wheels i'd murder them as well..
give me a loan of yours for Scotland and i'll tell you if they are actually any good!!
