Right, I'm going to put together my new bike over the next week or so.
Here's a couple of things I need help figuring out.
1) Tyres. I've come to the conclusion that Ignitors are brutal at shedding mud. Would these be any better? Front : Hutchinson Barracuda, Back : Hutchinson Toro
2) Handle Bars. I like wide bars 700mm+. What would be a good set that I can cut down later if I want?
3) Crankset. I want a 28,36,Bash setup. Does a 28t inner ring exist or did I just imagine it? All I can find is 26t.
+1 on the Toros Cathal but I find they wear very quickly on the back! I'm getting 2-3 months out of them - admittedly fairly frequent use and I'm not exactly "slyph like"! Much longer life on the front!

Good luck trying to get the Toro's, been trying for weeks and no one seems to have them in stock, i ended up buying a pair of nobby nic's from Al instead.
I've a lovely Revelation leaning up against the wall read to go. 20mm axle, for savage cornering action. Just out the back listening to the clickity click off me new Hope wheels. Now that's a marriage made in Heaven.
Might look for a harder wearing back tire alright.

As for mud shedding you need to be more specific, Djouce mud does not shed on anything, it's more glue than mud. Leadmines mud is great.
