Wanted : Small Hardtail

Hi,
I'm new to MTBing looking for a 2nd hand hardtail. I'm 5'4" so guessing a small frame would suit ? Please PM or post up.

any particular reason a hard tail,

i know of 2 small full suss bikes for sale giant trance 4 - €550 and a trek fuel €1150
both bikes in very good condition, giant is standard build, trek is full custom, very light bike.

Thanks for the reply. I did a bit of research among biking friends and they all reckoned a hardtail would be better for starting out (cheaper, easier to learn good technique and so on). I know very little myself so taking their word on it. I'm looking at a hardtail over the weekend but if it doesn't suit I'll come back to you on the cheaper of the 2 bikes if it's still for sale.

no worries, the guy that is selling that 1 is not trying very hard so expect it will be.

Your friends are dead right there Gersey.. if you are starting out stay away from full suspension bikes.. for all the reasons your friends mentioned above.. do your time on a hardtail (at least a year) to learn the basics and then when you progress to a full sus you'll be like a ninja on speed.. nothing will be able to stop you..!

Hi Geraldine, I might be selling my wife's bike, it is a small Giant Xtc Se, it has seen very little use, only been used twice in the last year due to new baby, it's in great condition. A few small scuffs on the frame, that's all. It's the same as the one below. PM me if your interested, John.
