Dare I say it "Lights"

Looking to buy a better set of lights, I have the Light in motoin Stella I want to get something better but not £300 worth any suggestions:confused:

Is that £s or €s? I was looking at the Ay Up V4s, all in shipped from Oz, vat and duty your looking at €370 for a set of handlebar and helmet lights.

££STG and €370 is also to much!!

get the Hopes Alfie has , the Hope 2's I'm nearly sure there around €200..if you are going night riding in winter Ireland, its way better to have good lights then even Forks or Tyres..the best mechanical bits on your bike won't help you if you are stuck to the side of Scarr with failed lights ..ask the Bosnian the hell he endured with failed lights in the Spring !!

Light and Motion Solos blow bulbs all the time, but the Logic Solo ( different bulb ) is a deadly little light never failed on Carol in 2 years.
If you can get the Light Ion yokes i have for under or around €300 then get them,
I've never used the Ayup yokes and the hassle of geting them makes me go " **** off"
If I have a problem with lights I just bring them to Al in the Bike rack..job done..

absolutely..maybe if a couple of you popped in to Joe Hollingsworth and told him what you were after he'll do you a deal, just mention that Alfie has them.

I think i'll pop into him when I get back from me hols, just had a look there and he does them for about a fiver more than CRC, feck it might as well put the dosh his way. By the way, best of luck with the Blast, pissed off I'm not around for it, then again I'm probably better off having another year to improve before killing meself!!!!

I got the Hope LEDs when they first came out, have them three years now I think, they're as good as the day I bought them, can't fault them at all.

Will have the new nukeproof ones in the shop tomorrow. 200 for a high powered LED haven't got the exact specs yet but they sound great and look sexy.

what kind of noise do they make....

So does anyone know what a Lumens is compared to a watt in brightness? and is 900Lumens good?

Lux is a derived unit based on lumen, and lumen is a derived unit based on candela.
One lux is equal to one lumen per square metre, where 4π lumens is the total luminous flux of a light source of one candela of luminous intensity:
1 lx = 1 lm·m-2 = 1 cd·sr·m–2.
As with other SI units, SI prefixes can be used, for example a kilolux (klx) is 1,000 lux

by the way 900 lumens is insane on this scale, it's equal to a lot times one hundred thousand squared minus the square root of the battery life times 12.

now those Nuke Proofs look great..900 Lumens thats a lot of Lumen..
Hopefully i 'll be able to test them..i like the look of them and I need to pass my Arcs on to Carol.
I'll let you know if they are the schizzle..
