Are you supposed to have more air in the negative chamber or less than the positive?
The manual says have them equal (they don't feel right all, not plush)
The first time i set them up was a fluke i think, i checked the pressures in them ealier and now i can't seem to get them right no matter what i do.
someone must be able to help before i **** them out the window.
I set up SAG in my marzocchi All mountain 3 by positive chamber and then when sag is proper give some pressure to negative step by step untill it doesn't affect the SAG
I do not fallow any manuals especially Marzocchi's
Hope it helps.
That doesn't seem to work on mine, if i have the negative lower or equal to the positive they arn't plush at all and they slam at full extension with a knock.
I have to have mine the other way around, 10/20psi higher on the negative side, only then do they feel like they are working properly.
How old are they.Have seen some with moisture in legs causing hydraulic lock.Easy to strip and clean out let me know if you need help.Deffo need more neg than positive air use chart on side of legs as rough guide or look up rokshox site.
I have the same fork on my HT,I found they require about 15 psi more on negative side than the positive side to make the plush. This is the max difference that RS recommend, there web site gives a very good set up guide but best way is to set up correct sag with both sides equal and then play around with negative side pressure until your happy with the action of shock.. Hope this helps
I'm on my 4th pair of Revelations... and my 3rd pair of Pike's...
They have all been dual air (positive / negative air chambers)... with motion control damping... some with U-turn.. some without...
I have always run them with 20 PSI less in the negative.. regardless of what's in the positive chamber... without any issues with any of them.. ever.... ever... ever.... period....
I have never had water absorption issues or the likes..!! In fact I have never had any issues with any of them... whatsoever... ever.... ever... ever...
If you run a higher negative than positive you will not get full travel out of the fork.. however, they will feel plush because the higher negative pressure is pulling the fork down and counter acting against the positive...
Gaz... you need to figure out what the best positive pressure is that works for you... only then do you adjust the negative to suit...
Forget about the website or the sticker on the fork or what Rock Shox recommends... they are only a guide... and not a very good one at that...
just a bit on the soft side which is to hard to sort.
sorry that should have been ISN'T to hard to sort.
I agree with you Gerry on the charts and web sites, but if i have them set the way you explained they are so harsh, and unless i have the rebound realy slow (and i mean tooooo slow) they slam out when they return to full travel.
Karl, i've some hydrauic lock in one of me stanchions here, fire us down one of your ladeez to unlock it will you ?
No way there all busy unlocking myself, jacko, skippy, and big vinny. What size tubes 30 32 or inch 1/8 and 6in travel i suppose on a good day .Better still go and have a good ol pedal and crank and watch out for the rebound.
