I have a fox shock on the rear of my epic, And I run 100psi with all 13 stone of me, If your bottoming out when compressing in a bump, Then yep, Its to low, If in dought Give James a call in http://www.octuning.ie/.
put more air into it. Theres no right or wrong amount but id be guessing around the 150psi range would be a good place to start. It should be that when u sit on the bike in all ur riding gear that about 30% of your travell is being used up. Try 150 and see how close that gets you and play around with it from there till you get it to feel how u like it.
I have one aswell, and I run 150+. I am less than 11st. I think I read somewhere that the best formula is your weight in Lbs plus 20%. That gives me about 175psi. not far off for my preferred setup.
I think it is supposed to have about 25% sag whe you sit on it.
So whats that Stewart, is it one pound weight to one pound pressure? (plus 20%)
Yeah Gar, that's the formula for an enduro with a dhx 5.0
I'm currently running mine a little softer, but the dy you were on my silver one we put it up to 180psi. might be a good starting point for your 'dale
I've actually lost, this is the new training list of things to do if you want to lose the pounds.
1) Drink jeegie bombs before 9pm
2) Have 3 slices of pizza
3)Top up on jeegie bombs till 11
4)Drink till there is no more available ie bar closes
5)Go to chipper for mixers (not food)
6)drink a bottle of Gin or most of it
at that point you will lose track of what happened wake up on Sunday down 3 pounds and about €200 so you wont be able to buy a take away you will have to make due with whats in the house much better for you.
