Tubless rim, normal tyre, does it work as a tubless set up with the goop inside? Reason for asking is i got a couple of pairs of tyres (very cheap) whilst i was over in Wales at the weekend but they arn't tubless.

Its worked for me so far, I've the 2.5 highrollers on the Slayer with stans goo and rim strips and it hasn't let me down.
I think some do .... some don't! If they inflate and hold air they should be fine - I ran non-UST Intense tyres tubless and they were fine but Dave Kelly was telling me this evening that he was having problems getting non-UST Ignitors to pop onto his tubeless rims! Suck it and see ...!
Ok cool, these are highroller single plys and Minion DH/F single plys, hopefully the sidewalls won't be too thin, they don't feel too bad though (£12 each) thats about â¬16 max
I ran ignitors as tubeless, but the sidewalls are so thin, they tend to split easily. went back to a tube.
Fitted a Minion to the front, what a ******* of a job, way way way more difficult to seat than a tubless tyre, other weird thing is the 2.35 Minion is actually smaller than a 2.20 nobby nics :confused:
Thanks OZ, mine are wire bead so i'm happy, it stayed up over night too so can't be too bad.
