Firstly I am not taking the piss. That said, I am going to regret asking this, but since you lot seam to have time to read magazines and the internerd, it will save me the hassle. I am going to buy new tyres for the all mountain bike. 2.3 minimum, square edged, tubeless, it would be nice if they where light, but good rolling resistance and anti punctureness would be more important. The 2.3 high roller would be ideal, but they roll like a brick. Hutscinsons piranhasâ and barracuda puncture if you look at them funny, even tubeless ones. I know loads about tires, and I know what I want, I just donât know whatâs available out there at the moment. Any ideaâs? My style of riding is soft and ragged.
Running barracuda enduro 2.35 med compound tubeless on the remedy.I am very happy with them so far, not to heavy, roll well, grip well in anything i have been out in lately and have put an end to the run of puncture prone spins i was suffering with the kenda tyres the bike came with.. so happy so far and would recomend them.

Yep, i was running 2 Nobby Nics evo tubless (â¬45 each) but had no front end grip what so ever, i bought 2 Maxxis Minions (supertacky) and 2 High rollers (super tackys) both sets standard single ply none tubless for roughly â¬16 each when i was over in wales last week.
Put a minion up front and the roller on the back, running them both tubless, grip was something else but felt like i was being pulled backwards all the time, i took the roller off and put a Nobby Nic back on the back and the transformation is brilliant, the bike rolls realy realy well and the front grips like cat s**** to a carpet, very happy indeed. :)

Heavyish... but grippy and big, they just push muck out of the way
I have a Hutchenson Toro on the front of another bike, I like it but I haven't ridden in the winter winter yet, just the summer winter, it's grand though, predictable, if you know what I mean.
I'll tell you what are poxy and brutal and crap on the front of the bike, Ignitors, ok on the back for climbing, they break away very fast on off-camber and slippyness.
you're wrong..i have an ignitor on the front and I'm like a golden god floating along over the roots and rocks, i'm at myself just thinking about it!
And its shi te for the front wheel skids..!
here we go again...tyres are feckin tyres..if they are baldy they won't work and if they are any colour other than black they look ****e..
too much choice, too much yakking and not enough riding..

Thanks to Don I remembered that I am supposed to be a free thinking radical trend setter, so I didnât listen to any of your advice and just bought some of those new Maxxis Ardent tyres. They are black with rubber bits, so far so good. If they turn out to be ****e I am still going to blame you lot for not specifically telling me not to buy them. If they turn out to be deadly, well you will never really know if they are deadly, as it is pretty hard to distinguish my inherent deadliness from the tyre related deadliness. I also bought some new sexy black lyrca shorts, I have been told my arse looks great in them.
Trendsetter indeed, I don't know of anyone who has these. I like the review though -
