Shorts and Gloves

Can anyone recommend a good, tough, set of trail riding shorts?

Also a warm and grippy pair of gloves?

Preferably available in a Dublin shop.

Have to agree with RL, got a pair yesterday and am really happy with them. Although I think they are sized quite small because XL fitted spot on and I'm that big!

hold on there a minute...I got a pair of Altura Shorts in the Bike Rack last year and they're feckin brilliant..they weren't expensive and i can't fault them..as for trail riding gloves...I have a pair of MX gloves off Smithers..which are deadly..
however I have a pair of winter Altura Gloves I got in The Bike Rack feckin years ago and they are still going..!!
if I can't break it or wear it out then buy it..
Nobody mountainbikes more than me in all weathers and is as abusive..so don't be conned..
and ****in buy local if you can..Hollingsworth or the Bike rack or the Superstore..
we are getting great deals off Joe In Hollingworth and they sponsor us..!!

Yeah, any Altura stuff I have has lasted well alright.

I'll check their shorts out. My old shorts tried to kill me up the side of Camaderry this morning.

The only winter Altura gloves I saw were for commuting. Maybe they'll do though, my fingers are still sore from the cold.

I bought Altura Boulder shorts last year but the stitching split on them fairly quickly - probably my "fat arse"!
