I'm gonna buy a full face and i've spotted a few on CRC that are on sale, how do you know what size to get? is there a chart that you measure your head then compare it to the chart to get the size etc? e.g. 15inchs = small, 20inchs = medium etc.

The number before the S/M/L on CRC is your head circumference in cm.

you should try it on first, I tried loads of different brands in the same size and the difference was huge

I get very good full face MX helmets at cheap prices. Try mine on here, and see if it suits. It will also give an idea of size.

I look for a couple of things in a full face.
Weight is important you don't want your head bobbling around at speed. Visor height is important.
The visor has to lift high enough to see further down the track. Removeable pads for cleaning is nice too.
Access to Spares visors is a definate plus.

Personally I'd recommend one of the 661 helmets because they are cheap as chips, look great and are as good and as the top lids out there but don't bother with any of the carbon lark just stick with the standard one. Size wise they are pretty normal I have a large and a medium Pro Bravo I can bring them out some time and you can see what they are like. The only thing to watch with the MX lids is the weight some are fine but others are too heavy and will pull the head off you downhilling.
Yeah it was the 661's that i was looking at, some of them are at half price at the mo
I have a pro bravo, carbon 661, its fine, but I really dont like the way the top of the jaw part points in rather than out, so in a crash my face is a bit close to the Jaw part, I did land on my face on some rocks and it was fine, next time when its time to replace, I'll get one with a pointy out part at the jaw.
