I had a deadly cheap innov8 pump i bought off Al in the Bike rack a long time ago..it was deadly but I lost it..

The rest are ****e , oh man i've seen and broken some supposed indestructible ones..and CO2 Cylinders are for racing !!
Co2 cartridges all the time, fixed a puncture up 3rock today and took 5seconds to inflate tyre rather than 5 mins pumping up with a pump. It was too cold to be hanging round for ages fixing a puncture, whole thing took less than 2mins.
I think I will definitely need to get those for racing but I'll probably stick to pump for spins, it's just cheaper.
The Crank Brothers one looks good, I think Eamon had it on one of the Saturday spins and it worked quite well.
Depending on how many punctures you get, but yeah pump is probably cheaper, although I've only gone through 4 co2 canisters since start of last year so hasn't been too expensive!! Tubeless is the way forward.
For starters dont use schrader valves to slow to get air into unless use use compressor.You can get a pump with Co2 cly attached .Best pump ive used is Roadair very slim and great for getting higher presures in .
i think the Cranks brothers one Damo has is a better model than your one Fergal..

just from my experience with Crank Brothers mini pump.
i bought the smallest one. if your forearms and biceps are good enough go for it.
otherwise you will get "pumped" by this pump. I regret i didn't buy a bit bigger pump (also available from crank bros) if you don't mind few grams more in your backpack, thebigger one will be better.
also it works ok to 2bars approx. beyond 2bars it is very hard to use it.
it is not about time you are loosing. as a rock climber i cant say my forearms are weak but the CB mini pump is a pain in the ass if you are tired and have to use it after few hours of cycling
