Tyre stretching?

that's right - I've tried everything else to mount a new tyre and am convinced it needs to be stretched a bit. It mounts ok without the rim strip on the rim so it does fit on the rim
It's a tubeless tyre on a standard rim with a Joe's no flats rim strip, the problem with the no-flats strip (besides neing more expensive) is that it's a good bit thicker than the BMX tube option I'd usually use (CRC out of stock)

I tried stretching it by standing on it and pulling it but no go, I'm thinking of looping it around a pole and my tow hitch and giving it a gentle bit of encouragement.
I could also try dropping it into the Bike Rack I suppose and save myself from my own eejitery- they've performed the impossible before for me....what d'you think Al?
I presume there's ample soapy water on the bead/rim? makes a big difference the slimeyer/slippier it is. Make sure the opposite bead is in the well of the rim too...this will give you some slack
put it in the microwave for 5 mins till it loosens out then apply with some crisco you'll probably find under Morgans bed..actually you might find that somebody like Morgan has an apparatus in his house for the specific widening of hoops..
help for tubeless novice

I need help with my new tubeless tyres too.
After weeks of punctures I finally took the plunge and bought 2 ignitors.
I can get them on the rim but that's as far as I get. (The wheels are Mavic UST)
I can't inflate them with my regular pump.
Do I have to buy a track pump ?
Do I have use some gooey solution?
Any advice welcome
thanks
the ignitors will go up with a track pump..don't forget the goo to go in to them..pump like a fcuker till they go ping..
Plenty of soapy water on the tyre (tire?????) bead and on the rim......makes a mucho difference

If you get sick of pumping go down to you local garage with a valve adapter, .2 of a second should do it.
I got the b*stard!!!
the black magic wasn't working so I put the rim tape on after getting one side of the tyre on, then a small g-clamp, a tea-spoon and some grunts later, all is well.
This is gas anyone googling for soapy rims, hoop stretching or gooey solutions is going to be very dissapointed
