Problem finding the right shimano hub??

Well i have a set of wheels at the house which i bought a good few years ago,

They are for V-brake only so i wanted to get a new set of hubs to fit them with discs,

I took them to my LBS and he said that they are now discontinued unless i was to buy the whole wheelset.

They are a slightly unusual hub pictures bellow,

Wh-M535 is written on my hubs but they are prob 10 years old now :)

The only hubs that i have found simallar are WH-959 this is the xtr version but i cant find anywhere online that sells the hubs seperate,

The other models that are like it are WH-6500, WH-R540, WH-R550, WH-R560 WH-7700

I have looked on ebay the only one i came across was for the road version so i assume i cant use this on mine?

assuming you find the hub, by the time you get the wheels built back up its gonna cost too much..

it'd make more sense to get a new wheelset.. you'll get your disc mounts and could be a good time to get tubeless rims while you're there
it'll cost (€350, 819's and hope pro II's), but makes more sense than throwing money at an old set

keep an eye on the second hand sections you might get wheels there

OC Tuning do that wheelset for €300, absolutely deadly wheels!

I just thought it was a bit strange that you can still buy the wheelset with the hubs i need but not on their own.

Ive heard good and bad about the tubless systems but i guess untill you try them i wont know.

I dont exactly need a new set of wheels i just had theses ones round the house and would like to put them to use.

What bad have you heard? I was in a bad place a couple of years ago, tubeless completely changed my life man...

Just with them sealing or having to run a certain pressure to make sure air doesnt escape etc...

Or is this all just an Urban Myth??

I went one week there with at least 5 punctures its no fun walking your bike home:)

I use stans sealant and so far so good.

Jesus man, burn those tubes, UST = 1 puncture and 1 burp in 3 years.

I must look into them a bit more,

Do you have to run them with sealant?

Ive been away from bikes way too long

Im like one of them people you see who dont use predictive text because i like the way the normal one works haha...

Hey, we all ran tubes once, but no-one goes back after going tubeless. There are a few of ways to go tubeless, but UST is the easier route (but more costly), less hassle in the end and yes, whatever route you go you will need sealant.

I just got a quote from them this morning for 350.
Priced them on CRC and they are the 320 Mark.

Yea, I might be interested Harri, been thinking about new wheels for my Trek and these ones defo make the most sense for performance/reliability/price etc.
