Carbon frame repairs

I cracked my carbon frame a few weeks ago and after a bit of researching on getting carbon frames repaired, I settled on sending my frame for repair to www.[URL="http://www.carboncyclerepairs.co.uk"]http://www.carboncyclerepairs.co.uk[/URL]

Frame returned under 3 weeks and the repair is really excellent- completely smooth and integrated with the existing frame.

If I sprayed the frame and added the decal you won't know it was ever damaged and repaired

It cost £200 str and €70 in postage costs and well worth it.

hate to say it, but the repair didn't hold up to today's racing
The repaired crack started to expand further around the tube.

Screw a hinge on, and sell it as a fold up....

i bet my fishing rod repair idea doesn't look too mental now !!!!

Conor in Mad got a canoe repair guy to do his - still holding....

Might fill the tube with expanding foam and super glue the crack - should hold for the nationals (as long as I do the shorter sports race!)

mark downey (rough stuff paddles) based down in palmerstown has done a number of repairs on frames - suspect it is the same guy that the guy from MAD got his done by.
