Recommend me some tubes

I want to buy a bulk pack of 10 or 20 spare tubes as I got 3 punctures out on a spin 2nit...nightmare.

Anyone recommend some good tubes and where I can buy bulk?

I don't think I've gone through 20 tubes in 10+ years of MTBing...

Go tubeless or ghetto tubeless if you can or.... patch your tubes.
I normally don't throw out a tube unless it has 4-5 or more patches on it

but whats the point in patching when you can buy them in bulk for 3 euro each

Dardoz, you nutter! Seriously consider tubeless, you will rarely if ever puncture, the bike will ride better and something to do with rotational mass (If you don't know that is imagine a priest on a carousel) will take place, tubes are history!

now im confused.. I suggested getting tubeless to my mate that I was out on the spin with but he said if they ever puncture, they are a nightmare because you have to reglue them or something.

What do you do if you puncture a tubeless out on a mountain??

If you get a puncture in Tubeless, you simple stick in a tube and away you go. Tubeless is the way to go long term.

Darren, you're new to this and heres my advice to you and every other new guy or girl out there..
your mates ( unless they are a well known MTBer, usually an experienced racer ) know nothing about Mountainbikes,training or equipment. Racing is the only way to learn what good and whats not..whether its XC or DH..you simply won't see the strengths or weaknesses of a thing unless its been tested in battle. and that includes people !
Tubeless is the only game in town, don't waste your time with Ghetto..take it from me, even though it works, when it goes wrong its a nightmare..get yourself a nice set of mavic 819 rims with Hope Pro 2 hubs from OC Tuning or whoever..bulletproof and realistically the simplest !!

Your tyres must be be shot or were not very good to start with! if you dont have the money to invest in new wheels, try new tyres! Dont buy a load of tubes put your money towards new tyres is my advise untill you can afford tubless wheels!

That would cost me about €600+ to go tubeless. If I had that much to spare for MTB kit I'd be trying to save for a carbon frame to race next season.

I think my tyres are fine. We scraped some kind of lump off the inside of the wheel rim which we didn't see on the 1st 2 puncture repairs and it didn't puncture afterwards so fingers crossed.

i have tubes on all my bikes because i simply can't afford tubeless wheels at the moment. but defo if i had a choice i'd go for tubeless.
Of course you can look at the bright side of tubes. I never throw out my old tubes.

No, you don't want two sets of rims so they'll be closer to 300......these tubes are pretty durable compared to any others I've tried, can't say they wont puncture (Because they will at some stage), but don't throw them away when they do.

Gmac also has a way of getting you tubeless for less.

just out of curiosity. Is tubeless heaving than tubed? I presume the tyres must be a bit heavier or something.
