Well techlickers..do we have any users for these bad boys..wheres the cheapest place to get the HD version..
While the bullet cam yoke I have is good..with the wires and the seperate battery pack and lack of HD..
are these really worth getting or is it a gimmick ?
The Audio on the Bulletcam is gick as well and you really need the Audio on a Byrner Movie , now don't you !!
I have regular version not HD of that camera,
I like it, but i found batteries dont last for long - around 30 min and are gone, mine accept max 2GB SD card.
There is no display on it neither so sometimes it is hard to get correct angle,
Quality is nice but with fast moves it can be kind of shaky etc, i have standard version but there is wide angle lens for it and it should fix shaky/flowy image.
maybe they fixed it in HD version but im not sure.
It is 100% waterproof - had it on holidays and have done few under the water movies :)
I can bring it to the league if you want to have a look at it.
thanks Michal..I think they have ironed out those bugs with the HD version and the batteries are AA so I'm not bothered by battery life..I keep forgetting to charge the feckin lithium one i got with the bulletcam..i am browned off looking at non HD video..wheres the point in trying to video deadly riders and routes in NormoVision..i think it takes away the whole flavour !!
get a loan of mac the knife's one, I think it's the best type with the lazer for helping you align it.
I have also been in touch with a pro shooter, in the usa, and the best tip i got was, to use a skydiving helmet, as it has a chin cup which keeps the helmet from hopping around on your head.
The problem when the camera is mounted onto a bike helmet is the whole thing hops around so much, that the footage is a pain to watch.even mounting it on the bars is better, or he suggested getting a chin cup for the bike helmet to keep the moving to a minimum.
Have to agree with McNipples... after trying various bullet cams and other wireless devices over the years I can safely say, hands down, no contest, that the ContourHD is the best of the lot.. its the lightest HD camera out there so you hardly know its there, has laser sights for aiming it in exactly the right direction, can take up to 16gb cards, battery lasts for approx 2 hours, big record button so you can operate it easily with gloves on, editing software is brilliant.. has lots and lots of aftermarket accessories and mounts..
Yeah the GoPro is nice and dandy but you never know exactly where it's pointing.. only the general direction.. you could be recording the sky for all you know..
Personally I'm not bothered at all with HD mumbo jumbo.. its a marketing man's wet dream.. and everyone is lining up for a golden shower..

i have the HD one and its really good. heres a vid of it on dreamtrack, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJiLE-y0wIU . havent had any problems with it so far and have used it loads. the files are saved as mepg4. the quality is amazing on these cameras!

A fellow in the lab just picked up the waterproof hd version of the gopro for â¬250 from some US website, I can ask him for the details if anyone's interested.
I have a go pro hd you can try out. We can get them in the shop there 300 for the hd one. To be honest the hd is a bit of a pain the files are just to shaggin big to work with on my laptop i also end up reducing the quality to upload them. As for setting it up its fairly handy and it has a pretty wide angle lense so once pointed in the right direction your fine. The battery life is good and with a big card i use a 16gig one you can get plenty of action filmed without running out of space. Give me shout if you want to try it out.
