Deore and SRAM compatibility

I have just taken delivery of an SRAM chain and rear cassette (both 9sp) to replace the worn Shimano Deore 9sp chain & cassette.
Just realised there are some incompatibilities between the two systems.
Before I open 'em up - can you advise if the SRAM chain and cassette will fit straight onto the OEM Deore setup?

Yes, no problem at all.

The only incompatibility is between shifters and rear mechs.

The SRAM chain and casette will be fine with the Shimano stuff you have, the only incompatability issues are with the rear mech and the shifter.

However, you shouldn't really change a casette and chain without changing the middle ring on the chainset, unless you are 100% sure it's not worn.
