Headset; bearings replacement

Hi Lads

Need to replace bearing in my FSA headset is it difficult, do I need any specialized tools for that. Any clues?

no its not. I had mine taken apart in 5 mins the other day. The bearing cartridge is on CRC.

Its easy but be careful.. not all headset bearings are the same..

If they are loose ball bearings then your entire headset will probably need to be replaced if they are damaged or worn..

If they are cartridge bearings then you may only need replace the bearing itself.. have a look on the side of the bearing for the bearing numbers so you can order the correct replacement..

Mine's an FSA headset. Its a th industries bearing cartridge.

TH Industries make bearings for a million different headset manufacturers (amongst other things) so you need the bearing number to identify them correctly..

Thanks for all replies, I have FSA Orbit Xtreme Pro Headset, with machine bearings
And i need FSA 874S bearing
Any Ideas where i can get them, i have ordered incorect set from CRC they don't have corect ones.

Have a chat with Al in the Bikearack or with Stewart in Sprocket Cycles.. they should be able to sort you out..

If not then try here.. make sure you get the right size.. as in 1 1/8" or 1.5"...?
