Tyres with Knobbles part 1

Well inspired by Donk..i just had to counter his nonsense with some real experience of my own.
I got two of the cheapest UST tyres I could ..Maxxis somethings..not ignitors or High Rollers ..something else..but that doesn't matter.
They are black, have knobbles on the side with yellow writing..i usually pump them up as hard as I can because i never remember they are tubeless and that you can run them at 25 psi..the thoughts of spending time pumping in air and checking it with a gauge makes me feel like a pervert.
so anyways..since using these tyres since the summer I have rarely expereienced any lack of traction, considering I have lost approx 1 stone since September and have returned to a 30" waist. Strange that considering I think I might have them rotating the wrong direction and have at least 40PSi in them that i rarely dab .
anyway, i'd highly recommend some tyres with knobbles..though I have used tyres that are baldy and I have to admit, they are more craic than the ones with knobbles.
You don't know the tyre type, the pressure, you forget they are UST, you have them mounted the wrong way, I'm amazed Carol let's you brush your teeth unsupervised.
yeah but I'm on TV, Video, in newspapers , magazines, been national Champ a couple of times , won DH and XC races, climbed high mountains, played in Croke park and sailed the seven seas..not to mention discovered the cure for boredom ( which obviously you're immune to )
and my facial hair is magnificent.
And where would you be if I hadn't opened your squinty eyes to the real MTB Kingdom !
So I think I'll keep riding around in a blue haze and Baby Jesus and the tooth fairy will keep me safe, ye filthy Muggle Goober !!

ye well i done 15 k last sunday in the snow with no wheels on me bike (need a new front chain wheel though):)
I'll probably get slagged for this but if your talking about the tyres on your Focus then they're Crossmarks... I just happenned to notice on a spin a while ago.

They are actually far far better when run backwards, the pattern is made to grip when under braking, so flip them around and they have endless grip for accelerating which is deadly... who needs grip when braking, running them backwards just means you slow down less and hit things faster and then have lads of grip to speed up again... simples!

The Larssen is also good for doing this, but running them backwards will give you no grip what so ever when braking... this makes for some happy times!
Greg..if people really think I don't know what tyres I have on or what pressure they are..or anything else then they are as mental as I pretend to be !!
