10 sp chainsets

Anyone know if it's ok to run 9 sp on 10 s chainsets? are the rings thinner or different in someway? Im pretty sure you cant do the opposite.

They are fine OZ. I have an XT mega nine chainset with XT DynaSys chain etc.
No probs at all.

I'm running a 9 speed drive train on an XX chainset... with a 9 speed XT M770 front mech..

No problems whatsoever...

You can also run a 10sp chain on a 9sp block as well if you want without any hassle..

I'm on the 9 speed chains on the 10 speed drivetrain too. The shimano 10 speed chains are ****E!! Nearly missed the Blast because of it!
