This Poxy Section!!

In all the years we've had this section, it has been the one I've most wanted to delete. The only reason it still exists is because I know it has some value.
Mainly because if you are smart you can pick up bargains.
Mac The Knife is the top seller.
I have had many people praise him for the bargains hes sold.
and a handful of complaints.
I don't like getting complaints about him.
Number 1 because hes one of my oldest friends and 2 because I don't care.
Its buyer beware buying secondhand.
You would want to be completely stupid not to realise that.
I do not care if you feel hard done by in a sale on this forum, i manage a big shop full of bikes and parts.
If you want customer service then come and see me in work.
On this forum I am the main contributor , my purpose is to entertain and inform.
Not to listen to complaints about people who sold you something clearly stated as used and you are completely wasting my time and yours moaning to me about Mac.
i'll ban you if you do and have a big old laugh about it. This is not the UN or somewhere democratic like Mars.
And besides I'm the President of EPIC and one of the founding Fathers of the sport in the World..not some fricking hassled IT guy that you can torment !!

..... and besides, with Gerry, depending on his humour, you get either hilarious abuse thrown in all directions or insightful, knowledgeable advice which can be extremely helpful. The only problem is that sometimes it's hard to tell which is which!!

P.S. I've bought loads of stuff off Gerry since I started and it's always been exactly as described (even if the stock photos can sometimes be a bit optimistic!). FFS at 50% off retail you cannot expect brand new!

Who's griping about Gerry?? He know's everything that is worth knowing, the man is the Arthur Daly of the mtb world and a great source for bargains. Having said that I did buy a Powerlink off him 3 years ago and now it's a bit rusty, Gerry you b*stard!!!

well i got some carbon bars of him a week or to ago and now the front of my bike keeps floating around me shed:mad............i want me money back :8)

This is a subject I have been waiting for,

Gerry sold me a pair of manitou dirt jump forks in mint condition, like any manitou owner I was looking forward to complaining about them going wrong in some way. No luck, they are still as good as the day I got them from Gerry 3 years ago.

Do I have a claim?

It certainly isnt my fault that the forks still work well.

something has to be done before everyone in the country is content with their 2nd hand gear from Gerry!

i heard that gerry get all his stuff by robbing the wages of blind orphans who help old people who run a abandoned puppy farm near his house...........and that he had somthing to do with the volcanic ash cloud last year.........it is also belived that he is the ring leader in a recent out burst of thumb tac mats being left outside of the homes of wheel chair bound nuns....

Ah I know... this must be about that premier league Tulip that decided to ring me 15 times in one afternoon.. Seriously.. when was the last time someone rang you 15 times in one afternoon unless it was an emergency, family death or something..?? I made no deal or agreements with this guy.. So what he has to complain about is beyond me..? He made 'The List' for a very good reason.. if he was a girl I'd think he was a freekin' bunny boiler..! 15 missed calls... WTF..!!!

For those of you that don't know me... I'm not a shop.. I'm a private seller who just likes building really nice bikes... I don't do this to make money, I do it to get high end bike parts cheap for my own bikes.. (see fancy bikes below) As a result.. you guys get the nice stuff I don't want at rock bottom prices.. If I wanted to make a profit I wouldn't be selling it at the prices i do, which is usually 50% off the RRP or CRC price.. regardless of conditon, brand new, used or whatever..

I don't sell junk and I certainly don't try rip people off.. If I was then I must be the biggest chancer ever to get away with it this long.!! I always give an honest and detailed description of the items for sale.. If I make a mistake I will change it and make it good.. I don't have time to photograph everything so I use stock photo's for illustrative purposes in these cases.. This way people at least have an idea of what I'm selling.. I meet 99% of the people I sell to in person, so everyone gets to check out what their buying before handing over any cash.. nobody has their arm twisted, is forced into or given the sales pitch to buy buy buy...! I always tell people to let me know straight away if there is a problem.. and if there is, in most cases, I will offer a full refund no questions asked..

So if somebody has a problem with me or with something I have said or done then stop PM'ing Richie or any of the EPIC committee as it has nothing to do with any of them them.. they have enough to deal with just running the club...

So PM me if there is a problem or disagreement... just one PM will do... not 15..!

They should be banned for p!ssing people off, for future reference don't deal with people
like these they'll just bust your balls.

the funny thing is, its pretty obvious I'm a bad *******, only a complete lunatic would complain to me in the first place.
It seems to me the best person to make the complaint to , is the person you have a problem with.
What am I going to do ..give out to the person being complained about !!
I'm more likely to take their side just for divilment !!
