shimano brake hose swap - new olives?

hi, i swapped the hoses on my saints, M810 leavers and M800 calipers.

I see that even thou i've tightened up the hose conectors/nuts, there is some oil gathering around the threaded area sticking out

I just swapped them - didn't change olives
Do i have to get new olives every time i remove the hose from the master cylinder?

I guess it depends how careful / lucky you are. I recently swapped XTR hoses with no problems, without changing olives etc.

i'm usually not lucky

just got a message from a guy who's brake hose popped out from the master cylinder because a reused olive broke.

just if anybody else is wondering if they need new olives after removing the hose from the master cylinder/caliper of a shimano brake - better get new olives.

so Max, now i think i am lucky - i was DHing whole day today and none of the hoses popped out.
