RIP 819's

Throw your 819's in the bin and get yourself a set of ZTR's & non-tubeless tyres....been out on mine three times now and holy jaybus they're class. The non-tubeless tyres are so much better and no burps.

You might be right there Oz. 819's on the fun bike and bling Stans on the HT.

On a tyre related note I'm running UST Ignitors on my Crests and finding they don't roll anywhere near as well as lightweight Schwalbes that come off the bike. Having said that at least the shouldn't explode with the same frequency. But come Club league time I have a wiener Rocket Ron that might find it's way back onto the back wheel.

As a matter of interest Oz what advantage do you think non-tubeless tryes have over tubeless apart from the obvious cost differential?

If I may Oz? Less weight, so they will roll even faster, BUT you have to weigh that against the greater possibility of tears and punctures. My experience of non UST tyres tubeless has not been good, hence my reluctance to go the whole hog.

you people are mental..how can you tell if the Tyre is making you roll faster !! What kind of goobers can tell if you are rolling faster on one tyre than another..do you have some sort of extra arsehole or goober gland that I lack !!
I imagine and its just a wild guess, that they only time you could possibly tell if one tyre rolls faster than the other is if you are on tarmac !!
And that obviously doesn't count !!
Most if not all of the people I know who are really fast are on massive 2.5 tyres !!

I rode all season last year on Racing Ralphs without a single issue, had them on for the LL1 and even on that greasy course I cleared 3 out of 5 laps without a single dab.
