Trying to build up one of those skinny hard tails ye are all so fond of here and I need wheels.
Now i reckon I'll be hard on them so they can't be made of cheese. I doubt my budget will stretch to tubeless so I'll go ghetto I reckon.
I'm looking for something light'ish and budget. Any recommendations ?

You won't go wrong with Mavic Crossrides Brendan! Cheap as chips, easily converted to tubeless and hauled my fat arse around the place without any maintenance for two years!
I'll second the crossrides, cheap as chips and set up tubeless nicely . I have being thrashing a set I got second hand for two years now and still going well on the ragley.. can't say a bad word about them.
I'll advise the crossrides too,hard to get replacement spokes,BUT the Cycle Superstore have them,about €3.50 each.Fairly light and strong enough wheels.
ha ha I've been abusing the hell out of the ZTR Flow rims for a year on the Shova and can't seem to even ding them. What the hell was OZ doing ?
I bought a pair of Crossrides so sorted thanks Guys.
Going to hide away down in Balinstoe for a while now and learn how to ride with the saddle up me hole. :)
do the club league you eejit !! all you'll get in Ballinastoe is crabs from Jackson..BTW..did you see what I did to Colm..all Lycrad up like a real Mountainbiker..you'll be next..I seen it in my crystal ball..
