DH Nationals

Well done this weekend to EPICDH.. a fantastic job in Carrick.
The T Shirts were very nice, impressive.
the organisation superb and the track amazing..100% brilliant.
Very peculiar for me looking at people in EPIC jerseys I have no clue who they are !!!
Poor Bren..I normally don't feel sorry for anybody but hard luck man.
Well done to John Damage for racing, that top section was insane..Kudos to all the racers..that was a savage track and hats off to the marshalls !! the flies of death were out there !
I loved the uplift trucks..you've come a long way from the Transit vans !!
The medics that looked after the lad we picked up were brilliant, very proffessional, as a Doctor myself I was impressed with their handling of the situation.
Well done to everybody..

Andrew and myself raced aswell . I heard one comment was look at this guy on a road bike, Jesus here's another one. Brilliant crack. Some start off and the last section was great with spectators. Well worth it. Well done epic dh.

I wouldn't mind the stupid cnuts with that attitude Ronad, they haven't a clue. They forget who ran the frst ever DH in the country and that for over 10 years DH was XC with the saddle down !
You can dress up in a clown suit , put on a pair of goggles and a fullface helmet but that doesn't make you a downhiller.
I overhear a couple of idiots here and there all the time but for an XC rider to race a DH race as severe as that with no sneaky practice and no full on DH bike, thats more hardcore than some goon fully kitted out in a neck brace and 2 sets of armour that goes around the jumps on a €6000 DH machine.Fair play to you and **** the gob****es.

The comment didn't bother us at all. I thought it was really funny. We had a deadly day. The crack at the finish was brilliant. Loads of people crashed across the finish, cowbells were a nice touch. It was a great day for spectators, short walk to finish from the carpark. I wouldn't normally recommend biking events for the family, but our gang had a great time. There was even a short dual slalom course beside the car park. Excellant event well done Epic DH.

Sorry Andrew, i have had years of stupid comments aimed at XC when I was Downhilling and DH when I'm cross countrying...it makes me mad. Its all biking and its all deadly but it really makes me sh2t sparks when one puts the other down.

I saw Scott, Liam and the wife early on..
Scott told me he was much happier now I was there !! what a legend !!

I didn't take it as a slag in us I was out to have the crack and some crack was had. I'm going to have to pick up on old patriot some where, to trash the **** out of it. Again ill say it a well very well run event with great atmosphere. We were in the wrong cat. Though we registered masters should have really been in the sports. Wasn't caught though.

I was up watching practice runs with lucas on saturday .They were some spills and broken arms ther was a mini festival vibe going on..well organized rockin music food people hangin out and ripin the sh.t out of the track big jumps over fire road.....Deadly to watch mad MO fcukers i would love to give that a crack on a down hill bike or a tractor.......well done epic DH.....

Yeah, I would have gone much faster if I was in sports !! Ha Ha

jesus the pair of you can't go fast enough at the best of times !! Well Ronan can't , at least you have some style Andrew !! Ronan looks like a postman with a hernia on his bike..
he'll either get thick or emotional now !!

Thanks Richie. Would have been nice to come away with the title instead of 6 weeks of recovery but sure that's the game.
A fantastic job was done by Sean, Adam and Orla running the show this weekend. I left the field at 10 pm this evening and you wouldn't even think anyone had been there today.

I need to stop this whole cycle of me just doing one race a year, every time I come back Im amazed by how much bigger and professional the races have become, just huge events! A fecking stage for crying out loud, how do you up that next year?
