Rd 8 of the Irish NPS will take place at Castlewellan, hosted by XMTB McConvey Cycles. XMTB have always produced a great course and this year is no different. For a course preview video follow the link. Hope to see as many people as possible there. Race day is the 14th of August!

Richie, they DON'T want your money now. They just want your name on the sign on sheet. This is Fergal's vision. It's a good vision. Riders getting with the program and logging on-line to show they interest. If the DH and Tri guys can do it then why can't XC?
Also helps the organisers feel that people are actually gonna come along to the event that they are putting their heart and soul into.

Now a lots been said about Castlewellan as one of the best venues in Ireland. This is very true but 2 things stand out in my mind about the place.
1. It was the first ever event that EPICmtb attended officially. Sean I think surprised himself getting 3rd in the Sports race, back when Sports was made up of both Heroes and Zeroes..Experts hadn't been revived and Fergal was a callow youth in his thirties banging his head off the wall and contemplating a life of Golf, Sunday morning sex and collecting bellybutton fluff.
It was a Damo Duggans first ever mountainbike race and one of Eamos I think.
2. Niall Davis beat Bob Benchcut here..incredible when you think of the highly technical nature of the course.
Its one of those courses that just feels absolutely amazing. Forget about this flow nonsense..Castlewellan ROCKS simples !!
