Not along the road, you smart arses, over the sleepers.
I have been over once, but was on autopilot. I know the gate where it leaves daffys trail, but can't remember the rest.... please remind me.
Go through the gate and follow the path, follow this to where the forest ends on your right hand side (the forest entrance to the Blast is up there on the right.) Keep going straight onto the sleepers and follow them until you come to a junction where the sleepers go off at 90 degrees to your right. This will bring you to the shoulder of Djouce and away you go.
ok ..
follow daffyds track to where you reach the long wooden bridge...when you exit the track onto the fireroad..keep an eye out on your right for a fence and a style..
go through that and take the left turn ..
this will bring you to the boradwalks and a fine view over lough tay..
follow the boardwalks and the Wicklow way..
and down to Djouce
EPICmtb do not recommend this route due to the nature of the user conflicts that may arise,
however if you choose to take this route, remeber that walkers are people too and deserve our respect,

I'm Sorry Mr L, that was an entirely different club full of people..you must be thinking of some other 50 odd bikers..we stayed well within the boundaries of Ballinastoe..
