St Annes' Jam today...

WOW…. what a class day in Anne’s, great to see so many people out riding their bikes from Glenn’s wee sprockets on 16” to BMX’s and 24” up to jump bikes; man everyone was rippin up the pump track today….

A HUGE thanks to Orla who came out and dug holes with boys.. Wouldn’t have got the new line cleared built and riding on my own .. thanks for that!!

Great to see Niall & Rob Davis out on their bikes, and Gav Carrol, peter and everyone else. Cheers Paul (Bluefoam) and Cathal for popping out to have a look – What you recon?
Even the two parkies drove in to have a look around and was chattin to Carroll I think, great to see them about too.

It’s getting to the stage now that I look at the track and I’m getting confused which way its riding there’s so many combinations and flow its mental…., I think at the last count before I left this evening was 4 or 5 clockwise, god knows how many combinations there are anti-clockwise mixed with clockwise .. endless, by the way that doesn’t include the 4 different drop-in points, there were a few head-on collisions today class!!
The trails started off a little slippy this morning but after a few riders it packed in nicely, the more its ridden the better it will get..

There’s a new 3-way transition line which will take you back around the track the way you've just come all in one fluidic motion, anyone who can get all combinations without stopping is a LEGEND......

The whole track is now fully ride-able but the fun doesn’t stop there I’m now going to extend it and make it larger and expand out over the rest of the area. I’m gonna include a few small pump hips & doubles this time, if anyone has any ideas of their own PM me and we'll see if we can plan out a killer track, I want this track to be for everyone.

Don’t worry though the ethos remains the same which is to make everything fun to ride for the sprockets to toddle about on (which they all are) and technical & tough for the quick boys/girls..

Nice one Mark, I must drag my ass out there and check it out, it's never to late to learn to jump....
Mark, sorry I didn't stick around to help. I'll try to make it there with a shovel over the next couple of weeks...
Im around tomorrow morning if anybody is up for a early spin.

I live really close and have tools, ive a wheelbarrow at the min too, drop me a line if you wana head down and continue your extension.

havnt been down that place since last may.

Is anybody doing the XC race on the 15th dec???
I'll be back down there on Saturday probably puffn away on half cylinders after the EPIC night this friday...

... fit for only diggin... and no big words please....
Very impressive Mark. I wasn't expecting the track to be anything like that big. That 'six pack' thing looks demented.

Great to see all the little kids riding it as well. You could tell this was 'the best thing ever!'

I'm going to drop the saddle on the bike and head over for a bash some Sunday. I've been wanting to learn how to jump for ages.

Hi Guys, i was up in St Annes today and couldnt find the track! although i did bump into a few of the residents enjoying a barbecue, who i mistook for members (that was embarassing). So can you guys give me directions from the main car park opposite the sea front?

thanks in advance.
are you talking about the big black gates near the crossroads of Bullisland and Raheny..then just go in and turn left...I mean right !! sorry
lol thanks Byrner, would you believe that i went straight in those gates and went every which way but right!

So just go through the gates, right andstick to the boundary wall?

I am jut getting back into mtb's after a 6 year hiatus and was reall looling forward to checking out st annes today!

thanks for the help.
