Hello Mtbers change is on the way

Sure I have said that for years about the gravity enduros , they are huge in Europe.. 5/6" travel bikes are what most people ride these days so it only natural that people want to compete in events that suit these bikes . It is going to be a huge part of our sport in the future so It good to see the uci acknowledge this.
Funny the way we all see what we want to see! I read the article and for me the bit that seemed most prominent was the increase in marathon events! Everyone to their own I guess!
Silvia and Brian Cooney did a deadly enduro event across the water last year. They really seem to have got the fitness / skills balance right for most riders.
I'll have to get the skids on now and do one before the UCI **** it up and turn a gravity event in to a marathon.
I'll be honest and say I'd prefer to spectate at a 4X event but the Xc eliminator is a good move for xc
we ran and XC eliminator as a club race one wet evening years ago..I think Silvia won it..she was definitely in it..
dropping 4x is a daft move but I definitely think Gravity Enduros are the way to go...they appeal to the Spartan in me !!
Mountainbiking should be about the strongest up and down..the day XC and DH parted ways was a sad day for the sport..

Good stuff (apart from the commentator insisting on calling calling Caroline Alexander the wrong name (Sarah Alexander) every chance he got )

Always wondered how David Baker didn't do better on the world scene and Tim Gould did, when every UK race Baker was always so much better:confused:
Not that many play that sort of sport. The percentage of women, who do a decent amount of regular exercise, let alone team sports, is pretty low.
