a ball busting issue!

just took delivery of a shiny new silver 08rockhopper disk, lovely it is to!
now heres the problem, i only have about an inch of clearance between the bar and my sack....not good. i bought online its a 15inch frame after testing out many bikes(including a 07rockhopper)in similar sizes and found i had a lot more room with them.
im so convinced that i want to measure the frame to make sure it wasnt a mistake on the retail side.
it still feels great to cycle but as far as building confidence id much prefer an extra inch clearance! anyone know how to measure this frame?

At the risk of messing with the Karma Gods ur hardy ever gonna come in contact with the cross bar as the momentum u have when u make a mistake will take u over the bars at best, at worst ur gonna hit the stem, that the bad boy that u want to be worried about!!!

Measure from the centre of the BB/cranks to the top of the seat tube.

Well if you only have one, I'd recommend extra care. Maybe wrap it in cotton wool or bubble wrap before you out.

I once worked with a guy who went deaf in one ear following a motorbike crash, he didn't mind too much, but got very paranoid about damaging his other ear...

Way too big, be worried be very worried, thats way too big. You really should have gone with the Kona. Big mistake there.

Send it back , an inch clearance jaysis hardly any room for the saddle. Get rid of it quick. You really should have gone for the Kona.

Does it have one of those saddles with the hole in the centre - just be careful your nut doesn't slip through - cos if you fell of the bike you could potentially leave it behind...

now that I think of it Rockhoppers really are ****e bikes, and overpriced

for the price i got it that dosnt bother me so much, and so far im quite happy with it...and knowing no difference i guess it will stay that way. thanks for the s**t advice pete it landed me with a bike i quite like!
