Danny O'Shea RIP

Our condolences go to the family of Danny.
For those of us that have been around for a while, Danny was at all the Sorrento CC MTB events as timekeeper and sidekick to Seamus O Sullivan ( a sparring partner of mine !!)
Danny was always smiling and the perfect foil to Seamus and Geoff Seymours " by the book " tyranny.
He did a lot of timekeeping for Team Worc at their events and he was one of the old skool Cycling Ireland people that got Mountainbiking or at least our sense of the rebellious. A really sound lad and I for one will miss the big smiley head on him,

That's exactly how He was, always had time for a chat and a laugh.
He did his time keeping quietly ,to perfection and obliged other clubs .
Funeral arrangements are as follows: Danny’s removal will be from Sheahan’s Funeral Home , 71 Georges St. Upr., Dun Laoghaire to Dalkey church on Tuesday 1st November for 5 o’clock mass and the funeral mass will be at 10 o’clock Wednesday morning.

The Sorrento club will be providing a (cycling) guard of honour for the Tuesday removal.

Condolences to the O'Shea family. Danny was part of the Sorrento crew when I first got into cycling at 15 years of age.
