In an attempt to see just how much of a hard ******* I am , I have set myself a challenge of riding everyday for the next 5 days.
heres Day 1, THe Cycling was handy enough, but the cold nearly did for me, not to mention the icy bits on the road, any way heres the first day http://app.strava.com/rides/2678747
isnt it ironic that the wicklow mountains national socialist park travelled along the military road sticking signs beside it telling us what we can and cannot do and where we can and cannot do it,the military road is the only thing that remains ofthe last bunch of fascists that came up the mountains trying to tell us what to do !!

Thanks Pete..all I can say is that was bracing !! I am now going to eat a whole Chicken..feathers guts, teeth, the whole thing..report later, my advice to people today is to stay in bed. the mountains are very icy !! Only a mental case would attempt to ride a bicycle up there !
it was cruel getting to lambes on the road..theres nothing you can do about the wind. then I went up by the bottom of the Boneshaker, tried to find a better route than the walk up..failed miserably and continued on , on my bike rode up Metro , down R&R came back up some of it found a deadly descent I hadn't done before, road across Aggro and BLT and into Ticknock, down kellystown and over to Alfie !! too windy !
