Good times !

Well now folks..we might be getting some bad press from some quarters but I tell you, some things stood out for me this weekend.
I was up in ballinastoe with Alfie, Niall Davis, Jon Hynes, Conor Conniffe, Chris O Callaghan and Tarja, training up to be Cycling Ireland Offroad Gearing up Tutors and I was impressed by all the people that I met today up there that I have personally encouraged into Mountainbiking.
But today was brilliant, seeing lucas and Zaz out with Rasher on the trails in Ballinastoe on their little kids bikes railing the hard left hander at the bottom, well it was worth it.
20 years I am at this, hundreds of mountainbikers introduced by me and seeing those two today, it was like getting the Nobel Prize for something !

Every week we go up to ballinastoe an it is great watching lucas and zaza improve every week we have got them up as far as the big bridge up the top and lucas is on a bmx and zaza on a reverse back pedel brake bike sh.t bikes but they love it ,I cant wait untill next week to see them on ther new mountain bikes from the old man with the white beard,On sunday the two of them were talking like two old grannys as they do and i said to them you never know were richie will pop up, richie doesn't want you's yaking were geting you's ready for the olympics ( the two of them dont even know what the olympics are) we were havin the craic ...And then as we got to the bottom Who pop's up the man him self the godfather of mountain biking and the minute they new it was richie they put the foot down and went like bats out of hell and also stoped talking these kids wouldnt be mountain biking only for the mad man that roams the forest with he's merry men and women on ther metal horses....fair play richie they were chuffed to see you.....Happy christmass mtb heads
