Oil rig coming to killiney bay

Hi folks I hope you don't mind me putting this up here as I can't access the notice board.


Lads - Providence Resources want to start drilling at the Kish Lighthouse, just beyond Dalkey Island. *This, in my estimation, is not a good thing!

is this not a good thing ? Oil, wealth, Hookers , cocaine, pet monkeys , are you mad Terry, so a few seagulls get a makeover occasionally ..we get AMG Mercedes, Hair transplants, Holiday homes in the Seychelles..you can get lost with your petition ! I can;t wait till the Punts start flowing again and I can buy a house up beside your Villa on the Vico road !

I wouldn't get too excited about the prospects of oil or anything valuable for that matter. Providence was born out of Atlantic Resources and Conroy Petroleum, there is a good record of failure and finding nothing....... Atlantic starred off the helvic in the mid eighties, it was all hype. There is a long track record in producing nothing but ineptitude and losses. Atlantic Resources, Fitzwilton, Waterford Wedgewood and Independent Newspapers share a major shareholder, if you were looking to prosper out of any of them, the best thing you could have done was to sell and put your money under the mattress.........
