Portes du Soleil mtb

Hi,

A few friends of mine are doing this race this year. Has anyone done it and can you tell me is there alot of downhill type stuff. Do you need a bike with alot of travel etc. I have A Giant Anthem 2 (100mm travel). I normally do XC and am not sure if it's a bit too much..???

I did it 2 years ago, it's not a race, more of a day out, not a huge amount of uphill cycling and not technical on the downhill. Oh yeah, most importantly, the feed stations serve free beer (I kid you not).
