Mr Walker bans walkers.
In fairness to the man, we met him a few years back in Cloon when we were running a DH race there. He was sound, his biggest problem was that he had run foul of some very aggressive walkers, one of them had threatened to punch his daughter.
Then one day 300 walkers turned up on the Green Mile with a man playing the bagpipes at the head of them !
So you have to ask yourself, who started it.he said he had no problem with MTBers using the route..
But who knows.
He could have started the whole thing by trying to run some ramblers off it , which set them off or he could be a genuine unfortunate who ran foul of the crazy walking community..
To be honest it was a very discreet path.
It wasn't cutting across somebodys front garden and nobody was doing any harm.
Pity.
