Coed y Brenin

Has anyone one been to the trails in or around Coed y Brenin, a few of us are thinking of taking a short 3 day trip to Wales (Fri- Sun) in early April.

If anyone has any tips of information I'd be glad to hear them. Were looking at doing it on a bit of a budget so no 5* hotel suggestions.

I've been to Wales kayaking before but never with the bike so am I even looking at the right area, it's all well and good reading MBUK reviews but I'd rather hear from real people.

if you only ever do one spin in wales it has to be snowdon. there s a few different loops in coed y brenin, the beast of brenin is good , not too technical but not easy either.penmachno trail by betws y coed is very good too, the other one there called marin is just ok, not relly worth going out of your way for but if you are there to do penmachno you might as well .

I been to all the trail centres in Wales bar Betws-Y- Coed, now as im living here, Coed y Brenin was my favourite, did the beast trail which took about 3.5 hrs, all ridable and not easy, very good trail centre setup there. There is definitely 2 or more days worth of riding there and will go back soon, Also I would go up Snowdon if you get the chance, I did it last October which was awesome. you might have seen this website before, but here it is again.
