Lough Derg Challenge

Anyone thinking of racing in the Lough Derg Challenge this year. Its a four stage event taking place on Saturday and Sunday the 21st and 22nd of April 2012, with two stages taking place each day. You can enter the full weekend or a single day. It's well organised, I did it last year and enjoyed it and the feedback was good from others too. The two day event is tough with good competiton. Last year a UK rider won it I think. The organisers are keen to try and get multi day stage mtb races on the go here in Ireland. See the link below for further info. I'm thinking about it.... but I have to fix stuff on the race bike so might not have the funds.

Maybe if we could get a gang travelling we might get a club discount. It is a tad expensive, but last year I think the comments were that it was worth it based on the level of organisation. They had chip timing and results were available within minutes of each leg finishing. I think there was grub laid on as well.

I feck it, I've just signed up. I need to fill in the gap in racing between this Sunday and the first NPS... can't let the foot of the gas now!
