A nice chap named Stephan approached me as I completed the race yesterday, his cranks had lunched themselves with 2 stages to go, and he needed a Hollowtech to borrow. No worries says I, so James swapped them over. I had to leave so James held on to my bike and when the lad finished he put them back on my bike. Gary then took my bike home, dropped it to Stu, who tuned the gears and I collected it this evening. All to get some chap who none of us knew to the finish line. I have no doubt anyone there would have done the same. It was good to see.
