Just been watching the 2nd round of the XCO World Cup from Houffalaize in Belguim (I think?). Great coverage on Red Bull TV and a great win for XXX too!
Just thought it was interesting that the venue was basically a bit of steep scrubland on the edge of the town. No natural features or single track at all! They even used a couple of hundred metres of tarmac road for the start finish! Goes to show that with a bit of imagination and clever design a good XC course can be built just about anywhere! Brilliant for spectators too with a great view of lots of the track!
Come on lads we must be able to find somewhere suitable to hold an event!
