I am working at losing a stone and getting faster uphill, finding it tough over coming medial ligament strains and herniated discs not to mention mac'n cheese.....by god some stories truly give you a sense of perspective!
If it makes you feel better Gary I've had a full disk sequestration - disks that burst - had 'em all taken out, and I've bust veins in my stomach and had them all tied off - so there - you're even better off than some club mates - bike has already changed my life for the better - thanks Epic, Richie & the committee (I thought I'd be sitting in a chair staring into space for the rest of my days! not so) Rock on kids you'll never know when the sh1t will hit the fan!
Thanks guys, appreciate the comments and encouragement. The post was meant to be about the vid, and how petty it seems for me to moan about a few aches and use them as excuses when this guy has had to work 13yrs to get to walk and get back on a bike. Since having to give up rugby due to my back cycling has been my stress relief and sanity, videos like that make me truly grateful to be able to do it pretty much whenever I want with great people in great places.
John that's some recovery, fair dues to ya. gonna pick your brain about the back situation when I see ya next, been told so many different opinions it'll be good to get a "patient's perspective"
