Ok..so hes not propelling a rocket powered donkey down some insane singletrack or hucking some kind of off camber gap step up to flat but he is doing Irelands most prestigous road race. The RAS is our Tour De France where men on skinny wheels race each other for miles over a week on diabolical roads in horrendous weather. I guess they do it because there are no dragons to slay or Wars to be fought here but for whatever there reasons they deserve our respect.
So best of luck Morty , I hope you have the supersized jar of shammy cream and loads of cheese and jam sambos ( thats John Doris' energy food) , Max will keep us posted on your heroics.
Now I expect to come back from my spin up the Mountains this morning with this thread filled to bursting with best wishes ! Including the many lurkers that lurk here expecting me to give out about something , Morty doing the RAS is a big big deal for him and for us.

For anyone interested, the start of the RAS it Starts on Sunday in Dunboyne, I believe Phil Cassidy will introduce the teams, and the riders do a lap of Summer Hill Road first and the first stage starts around 12...
