Killarney NPS: Car Pool Thread: All Clubs

It's a long way to Killarney so post up if your thinking of going and we can make it more affordable ..... I'll start I can only go the morn of the race it's aprox 3.5 hour so if we leave hear at 8 we will be there for 11.30 can leave earlier if it suits others who's whit me ??? Your car or mine I don't care as long as I race !!

If I could do the Saturday I would but I'm all tied up I only go the sunday

I hope to travel, just have to figure out how... and negotiate...

I'm going but on Saturday and staying in B&B, a round trip in one day is too much if you want to get a good result

Well the trip is not as long as one would think its under 3 hours from Dublin going true limerick Cork was 2.5 and I had no prob doing that the morn of the race ideally if I could I would go the Saturday and stay in the hostel that is on the grounds but I don't think the drive will hinder my race there will be 3 in my car so if need be we can take turns driven see you there

As Andy says, we'll be taking turn's driving down that morning so will be grand, it's not that much further than Tracton/Cork...

Anyone who can't stay overnight Saturday should drive down with there mate/Missus and share the drive...

You'd probably want to give yourself 3.5 hours to be on the safe side. The motorway ends at Adare and while the road from Adare - Castleisland - Farranfore - Killarney is very good, it can be frustrating if you get caught in traffic

Thanks Dave traffic should not be a bother on a Sunday morn but we are leaving at 8 and we are all in the same race at 2 we will have lots of time

I'd love to go if I could either :

A. put 2-3 people in the car with me to share cost
B. get a lift and contribute to the petrol



I think that if you commit to racing locally you should do your best to race nationally also
We have to support each others club to keep the sport from disintergrating

If anyone wants to share the drive down on Sunday morning in time for S3 race, drop me a PM

Graham - why not set up a thread called "NPS Car Pool" and drivers can post looking for passengers, saying how many seats they have and how many bikes they can take and where the passengers can meet them - either at point of departure or even on route..

Though if you can get at least 2 in your car then you can share the driving and make it there and back in one day, i mean its only an extra hour or so compared with Belfast, from the Red Cow exit of the M50...
